PowrTech Solutions represents E-Instruments Group, who are the exclusive North American distributor for the Eurotron "Green Line" portable flue gass analyzers. E-Instruments Group is a new United States company owned and operated by the previous president and vice president of sales of Land Instruments.

PowrTech has been selling and servicing portable flue gas analyzers for 25 years. Combined with our knowledge of combustion applications in boilers and processes, we can provide valuable insight to the application and operation of this kind of equipment.

Portable flue gas analyzers are an inexpensive way to get very accurate flue gas analysis if used properly. They utilize fuel cell sensors. remove moisture from the samples and take into account sample flow, flue gas flow, oxygen corrections and various ways of reading emissions based on the process to which it is being applied.

As a result of these measuring methods, it is important to pay attention to certain features of portable flue gas analyzers:

1. They utilize fuel cells which, like a battery, only last a certain time including shelf life, then must be replaced and recalibrated. Those cells are slowly, steadily declining their output linearly, and must be rezeroed before each use.

2. They must be calibrated for a new zero every time they are used due to the above mentioned deterioratd life, and that zero calibration must be done at ambient conditions where air is clear of CO, etc., not near the flue gas measurement area.

3. Because they measure flue gas after moisture is removed, they are a "dry" analyzer. When compared to a "wet" analyzer, such as a zirconium oxide insitu continuous oxygen analyzer which measures the oxygen in flue gas without removing moisture, there will be a 1 to 2% difference in Oxygen reading depending on how much moisture is present.

GreenLine2000.jpg (9678 bytes)Model 2000 is a 3" x 4" x 11.5" handheld analyzer weighing less than 2 lbs. and capable of up to two gas sensors, chosen from Oxygen, CO or NO.

Sample probes are available in the following ways, and all include in line water trap and filter:

Model 2000

About $1000!

300mm (11.8") - Flue Gas + Draft
750mm (29.5") - Flue Gas + Draft
750mm (29.5") - Flue Gas to 1830F
750mm (29.5") - Flue Gas to 2190F

The model 2000 also measures ambient and flue gas temperature, can measure draft pressure, and has an optional gas leak detector and optional ambient CO sensor. It will calculate Nox (if you chose the NO cell), CO2, Differential temperature, Excess Air, and Combusion Efficiency  for up to 10 fuels, which you can select and apply yourself. Other options are a printer, rechargeable battery with charger, Vinyl, ABS or Aluminum carrying case and a smoke detector pump.
Software is included for your PC to configure the analyzer and another program to collect up to 250 sets of data.

GreenLine4000.jpg (6423 bytes)Model 4000 is a 4" x 5" x 13" handheld analyzer weighing 3.8 lbs. and capable of up to four gas sensors chosen from Oxygen, CO (0 to 8000ppm or 0 to 20,000ppm), NO (0 to 4000ppm), NO2 (0 to 1000ppm), or SO2 (0 to 4000ppm).

Sample probes are availbel in the following ways, and all include in line water trap and filer:

Model 4000

About $2500!

300mm (11.8") - Flue Gas + Draft
750mm (29.5") - Flue Gas + Draft
750mm (29.5") - Flue Gas to 1830F
750mm (29.5") - Flue Gas to 2190F

In addition to the features and options on the model 2000, this has available:

Pitot Tube (11.8" 29.5" or 39.4") and gas velocity calculation output.
Graphic display of any vaiable.
CxHx Sensor (Catalytic bead - 0 to 5%)

greenline6000price.jpg (9283 bytes)Model 6000 is a larger analyzer for compliance monitoring which has a handheld analyzer which is 4.5" x 3.5" x 13" and weighs 2 lbs.. It is housed in an aluminum case which is 8" x 18" x 14" and weighs 20 lbs.. This includes a pump, trap, a Peltier sample cooler and an eight foot cable. It can house up to six cells chosen from Oxygen, CO (0 to 8000 or 0 to 20,000ppm), NO (0 to 4000ppm), NO2 (0 to 1000ppm), CxHx (0 to 5%) and SO2 (0 to 4000ppm).

The same probes are available as are on the models 2000 and 4000, plus additional 750mm and 1500mm heated probes. AC Power required.

This analyzer differs from the previous models primarily in that it utilizes a Peltier cooler and heated probes if required to properly condition the sample before it reaches the cells. This eliminates the problem of keeping NO2 and SO2 from being absorbed by liquid moisture in your sample line before reaching the cells.
In addition, the 6000 provides two auxiliary 4 to 20 ma inputs for use in test data reporting. All other features on the 4000 are available on the 6000, plus a 1000 tag memory.

GreenLine8000price.jpg (6386 bytes)Model 8000 is the same as Model 6000 except that it is larger, and includes the following additional optional features:

22lb. Carrying case.
Up to eight sensors, same as Model 6000, plus one for H2S.
Constant sample flow control.
NSIR Sensors for CO, CO2, and CxHx.
Heavy Duty Industrial Heated Probe and Heated Sample Line.
9000 Tag memory and expanded WIndows based Gas Configuration Software.
